Why I Love What I Do

One of Shirin’s greatest passions is her work and the ability to help children and their families overcome challenges related to motor skills and sensory processing. Shirin is kind, patient, dedicated, hard-working, and resourceful in her practice.

She utilizes play to address a child’s motor and sensory needs in order to improve their day to day independence and quality of life. She prioritizes a child’s internal motivation by individualizing her therapy sessions to the child’s favorite activities and characters, which often leads to more successful achievement of their goals.

Team Approach

Shirin strongly believes in team collaboration to ensure the best therapy results and generalization of occupational therapy to the child’s everyday life, and often collaborates with other disciplines including physical therapists, speech therapists, and neuropsychologists to ensure that her clients are receiving the holistic care they need.

Shirin’s passions drive her to be involved in many non-profit organizations advocating for various minority groups and individuals with disabilities.
